眼
狗的眼睛有些近视，看不清100米以外的静止物体。但是，对于移动的目标，狗完全能够辨别。尤其是对高速移动的物体，它有一种迅速追赶的本能。
狗的视野宽度达到200-250度，尤其是京巴、巴哥等犬种眼球突出，视野特别宽阔。
耳

出生1年后，狗即相当于人类的18岁，此后每一年就相当于人类的4岁。3个月前称狗崽，4个月称幼犬，6个月称小犬，1岁左右为青年期，当狗7岁时就开始进入老年期。
狗的繁殖
母狗的发情期早的可在出生6个月左右开始，一年共2回，每次约10天。公狗在出生后11个月开始具备生殖能力，但公狗没有发情期，一年之内随时可以交尾。
如果不打算让狗生育，最好在6个月时做绝育手术。手术后的狗不仅容易饲养，而且还可以避免一些老年犬病的发生
防疫注射
狗崽出生后6个星期要进行第一次混合疫苗注射，出生后2个月要接种狂犬疫苗，出生后3个月再接受第二次混合疫苗注射。此后，每年只需注射一次狂犬疫苗。
